This page describes the current Jose Unplugged website. It will be updated as new features are added.
Information you submit
The contact form collects the name, reply email address, and message you choose to provide. That information is used to receive and respond to your message. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.
Vercel processes the submission through this website’s server endpoint. If the spam check succeeds, the message is delivered to Jose’s mailbox through Fastmail. The website does not store submissions in a separate database or write their contents to application logs. Messages and replies are stored in the mailbox and may be retained for the conversation and related follow-up.
Spam protection
The contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help detect automated abuse. Loading the check allows Cloudflare to process technical information, such as your IP address, browser information, and interaction signals. The verification result is checked by the server before a message can be sent. Spam protection reduces abuse but does not guarantee every submission is from a person.

Site features
The site code does not include analytics trackers, advertising scripts, or third-party video embeds. Fonts and illustrations are served as part of the site. The contact page loads the Cloudflare verification service described above. There are no user accounts, public comments, or newsletter signup. This describes the site’s own features, not the separate practices of a hosting provider or an external website.
Hosting and service providers
Vercel hosts this website. Visiting it sends technical information, such as an IP address and browser information, to the service delivering the pages. Vercel may process that information to operate and protect the service under its privacy notice.
Fastmail processes and stores contact messages as the email provider. Its handling of service data is described in the Fastmail privacy policy. These providers have their own retention and security practices; this website does not promise a particular deletion schedule for their service records.

Links to YouTube and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This site does not control how those services handle information.

There are currently no affiliate product links on this website. Future posts may contain affiliate links, including Amazon links. When a link can earn a commission, that relationship will be disclosed with the content.
A product recommendation will include context about Jose’s experience with it. An affiliate relationship does not mean the retailer or manufacturer endorses this website.

Use the contact form to ask a privacy question or request correction or deletion of information you sent. Requests will be reviewed with any applicable recordkeeping requirements and the limits of provider-held records in mind.
